Founded in 1974, the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc., (ABC) is a nonprofit organization with an international membership of over 2,000 health professionals, lay members of the community (Community Health Advocates), corporate members, and institutional members. The ABC is dedicated to eliminating the disparities related to cardiovascular disease in all people of color. They are firm in their resolve to make exemplary health care accessible and affordable to all, dedicated to lowering the high rate of cardiovascular disease, including stroke, in minority populations and committed to advocacy and diversity.

We were given the opportunity to work with ABC during the pandemic and to develop for them their first-ever virtual gala fundraiser!  At the time, most organizations either had reduced their activities or were attempting to continue via virtual events.  We worked with their team in 2020, and outside technical personnel, to create the Virtual “Spirit of the Heart” Awards Gala Fundraiser with the likes of Vanessa Williams (singer & actress). It was a remarkable success, with more than 3,000 viewers online…and we repeated the fundraiser in 2021.  In 2022 we were approached by the organization to venture out and produce in-person awards gala & fundraiser in Atlanta, which included sponsorship solicitation & fulfillment, securing “text to donate” platform, sourcing keynote speaker, entertainment and emcees, marketing & promotion of the fundraiser, sourcing awards, creating an impact video and the like for more than 400 guests.
