63rd & 64th Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner
Chicago Urban League
Established in 1916, the Chicago Urban League helps people find jobs and establish careers, become homeowners, enhance their educational experiences, strengthen their leadership skills, and grow their businesses.u00a0One of the oldest and largest affiliates of the National Urban League, they promote strong, sustainable communities through advocacy, innovation, and collaborative community, corporate and civic relationships.
The Chicago Urban Leagueu2019s signature fundraising gala, the Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner (GFD), supports their service to thousands of Chicagoans. GFD is one of the most anticipated events of Chicagou2019s gala season, and welcomes more than 2,000 business, civic, and community leaders to celebrate their collective progress and support the work that lies ahead.
We had the pleasure of producing the 63rd and 64th Annual Golden Fellowship Dinner. MGPG is proud to have brought the event to the largest ballroom venue in Chicago as well as partnering with the Hyatt TAP Room to create a new VIP experience.
In 2024, we created a grand experience that aligned with their theme of u201cStanding on Business in the Fight for Equityu201d and punctuated the evening with an incredible performance by Fantasia. With free champagne during the reception and a breathtaking ballroom, the event raised a record-breaking nearly $4 million in support of the Chicago Urban Leagueu2019s programs.
In 2025, the Chicago Urban League stood strong against federal attempts to discourage support of community organizations that focus on those disenfranchised and asserted the theme u201cShoulders We Stand On, Futures We Create.u201d We brought this theme to life through a meticulously curated series of museum-style installations that showcased Black Inventors & Pioneers, Media/Business, the Black Church, the Civil Rights Movement, Politics, and Literature. Guests were able to walk through various significant historical moments that have paved the way for future generations of Black excellence and societal progress.
